This year's ANZAC Round Jersey features a poignant design with the sun rising over ANZAC Avenue, a landmark deeply rooted in the heritage of our Moreton Bay region.
Significantly, unlike other war memorials in Queensland that commemorate local servicemen, ANZAC Avenue honors a broader spectrum of heroes. It serves as a tribute not only to the communities of Redcliffe and Petrie but also to the wider Brisbane area.
Originally termed Brisbane Road, ANZAC Avenue was constructed in 1925, employing 50 veterans. It links Brisbane to Moreton Bay and symbolizes our team's broader appeal—reflecting our journey to the NRL as a unifying force for Brisbane and the northern corridor.
